The IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standard is met by the Zyxel GS-105B v3 5-Port Desktop Gigabit Switch, which provides power savings without losing performance. The GS-105B v3 can automatically adjust power consumption based on the number of active, connected network devices and the length of the Ethernet cable; that is, if fewer network devices are connected and active, or if the length of the Ethernet cable is shorter, it consumes less power.
